Machine design

Filling

Filling principle: the filling principle of VISCAL machines is filling below the surface or on the surface. This means that the filling takes place from the bottom of the bottle while the bottle is being lowered. The speed of the bottle descent relative to the filling speed can be easily adjusted by adjusting the curve track of lifting jacks.

Filling valve is operated by a pneumatic cylinder depending on the presence of the bottle under the valve. The valve is closed at the mouth of the filling pipe to minimize dripping.

Working cylinder ensures precise measuring and dispensing of the filled product into the bottle. The dose size can be varied from “0” to the nominal size of the cylinders by adjusting the swing path which provides the lift of the working cylinder. Depending on the machine equipment, the dose adjustment can be done manually or electrically with output on the machine display. The sizes of the working cylinders are designed based on customer requirements.

Cleaning

Due to the viscosity and nature of the products to be filled, which in many cases are inhomogeneous and contain even smaller solid pieces, great attention is paid to the cleaning and sanitation of the machine. For this reason, the machine concept is designed to meet the cleaning and sanitation requirements as much as possible. The filling system itself is prepared to be connected to a closed CIP circle. The flushing of the tank, working cylinders and filling valves is ensured by removable CIP cups, through which the cleaning medium is led to the CIP return pipe. The design of the filling valve allows easy and quick disassembly for visual inspection.

Automation

For integration into a higher control system used in the customer´s plant, the machine can be equipped with an appropriate level of automation, including remote diagnosis of possible error messages and faults.

Machine execution

Fillers are produced either as individual machines or in a synchronised block with other equipment in following options: filler + capper, rinser + filler + capper (for different types of closures).

Machine can be delivered in HOT-FILL or CLEAN ROOM execution for filling of sensitive products. The scope of delivery can include additional equipment like preparation of sterile air, preparation of rinsing medium for bottles and closures, automatic system for spraying and foaming of external parts of the filling system inside the clean room of the filler.
