Facebook Pixel: This technology enables Facebook to identify visitors to our website as a target group for the display of advertisements («Facebook ads»). Accordingly, we use the Facebook Pixel to serve Facebook Ads only to Facebook users who have actually shown an interest in our website or who have certain qualities (e.g. interests in certain topics or products identified based on the websites they have visited) that we transfer to Facebook («Custom Audiences» and other «Similar Audiences»).
Using the Facebook Pixel, we would also like to ensure that our Facebook ads are relevant to your potential interests and do not annoy you. We can also track the effectiveness of Facebook ads using the Facebook Pixel for statistical and market research purposes, as we can see if you have been redirected to our website after clicking on a Facebook ad («Conversion»). The Facebook Pixel is used when our website is loaded directly from Facebook and can store so-called «cookies» on your device. If you then log in to Facebook or visit Facebook when you are logged in, your visit to our online offer will be logged into your profile.
The data collected about you is anonymous to us, which means that it does not allow us to identify the user. However, the data is stored and processed by Facebook so that it can be linked to the relevant user profile and can be used by Facebook for its own market research and advertising purposes. Should we transmit data to Facebook for reconciliation purposes, it will be encrypted locally in the browser and then sent to Facebook via a secure https connection. This is done solely for the purpose of creating a comparison with data equally encrypted by Facebook. How the Facebook Pixel is used for advertising purposes can be found here. For more information about Facebook’s data processing, please click here.
Based on the Custom Audience, we can create similar audiences on Facebook and advertise our services to similar audiences that are unknown to us. Facebook is the only one who knows who the Similar Audience is and is able to identify them. Therefore, we are not a data administrator for Similar Audiences.
Google Analytics: The information generated by the cookie about your use of our website (e.g. IP address, accesses, navigation flow, duration of visit, browser and terminal devices used, language and country) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on their servers in the USA.
However, by activating IP anonymization on this website («_anonymizeIp() function»), your identified IP address will be shortened in member states of the European Union or other signatory states of the European Economic Area Treaty. In exceptional cases, the full IP address will only be transferred to a Google server in the USA and will be shortened there. Google will use this information to analyse your use of our website, to compile reports on your website activities for the website operator and to provide other services relating to website and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where necessary, provided that this is required by law or to the extent that third parties process this data for Google’s own reasons.
Through browser plug-ins, you can prevent Google from recording data about your use that is generated by cookies. You can use the following browser plug-in to do this. If you use the internet with a mobile device, you can prevent the recording of cookies — similar to a desktop device — by clicking the button below to deactivate Google Analytics.
Google Marketing Platform: For the purposes of Google’s marketing services, your data is pseudonymised. Google does not store and process your name and email address, for example, but resorts to processing data in connection with cookies in the context of pseudonymous user profiles. This means that, from Google’s perspective, ads are not managed and displayed for a specifically identifiable person, but for the cookie holder, regardless of who the cookie holder is. This does not apply if you have given Google your explicit consent to the processing of data without pseudonymisation. Your data collected by Google Marketing Services is transmitted to Google and stored on Google’s servers in the U.S.
«Google Tag Manager» we may use to integrate and administer Google analytics and marketing services on our website.
